Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
Modern slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. It takes various forms, such as slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labour and human trafficking, all of which have in common the deprivation of a person’s liberty by another in order to exploit them for personal or commercial gain.
We take the issue of slavery and human trafficking very seriously and are committed to improving our practices to combat it. We have zero tolerance to slavery and human trafficking. We are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business.
In light of this commitment we are reviewing our workplace policies and procedures to assess their effectiveness in identifying and tackling modern slavery issues. Our review demonstrates our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place anywhere in our supply chains.
In practice we will:
- Examine our existing supply chains and ensure all suppliers have a Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement and comply with anti-slavery measures.
- Distribute our Slavery and Human Trafficking statement and information received from Leeds City Council to all our core employees and trustees of the company.
- Include the Slavery and Human Trafficking statement in our induction packs to all freelancers employed by us.
- Examine any partner organisations, including venues we tour to, to identify whether they have a Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement and encourage them to comply with anti-slavery measures
- Provide training to core staff and trustees if required and to encourage discussions to enhance level of understanding.
- To meet with our landlords ensure our landlords have a Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement and comply with anti-slavery measures in the operation of the building and their work.
This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes tutti frutti’s slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending 31st March 2023.
