This is a play about how walls don’t make a house,
and doors don’t make a house.
It’s a play about how a family makes a house. And it doesn’t matter where you live – whether it’s an up house or a down house, or an outhouse or a townhouse – who you live with is the important bit.
This delightfully illustrated children’s book was brought to life on stage by Tutti Frutti and York Theatre Royal. With live music throughout, the merry band of actor-musicians gave it an energy and wondrous beauty that took you to the house with the blue light, round the brim of uncle’s hat and over the moon, all in search of that most magical place – a home.
