We we’re thrilled to be nominated in the Inspiring Creativity Through Arts and Culture category at the Child Friendly Leeds 2018 Awards. We received a brilliant anonymous nomination however it certainly didn’t take us long to figure out who it was. Thank you so much Harehills School!
Our nomination read:
“As a school we have worked with Tutti Frutti for over 5 years. They are based in Shine which is next to our school. Our children rarely see theatre and we are able to walk to Shine and see special bespoke performances put on for us. I am now working with the company to extend their audience to other schools in the locality as the magic they create is very accessible for EAL and special needs children. The children at our school took part in a workshop this year which will feed into the movement that will be used in this year’s performance. All schools should use this theatre company”.
The awards took place in February and were organised by a group of young people. The group planned every aspect of the ceremony, from the decorations to the entertainment. Congratulations to the young organisers, other nominations and winners!
