tutti frutti and York Theatre Royal present
Rapunzel
Written by Mike Kenny
For children aged 3+ and their families
Placed high-up in a tower above the world and faced with the challenge of growing-up, she is found alone, dreaming….
The sun goes up
The moon goes down
The world keeps turning
Round and round.
The moon comes up
The sun goes down
Can things that are lost
Ever be found?
1 year, 2 years, the girl gets older
The summers hot, the winters colder
3 years, 4 years, her tower stands straight
The girl is dreaming, and still she waits…..
5 years, 6 years, the years go by
She’s still alone, she wonders why?……
With fantastic music from Chris Mellor, beautiful movement from TC Howard and magical design by Catherine Chapman, Rapunzel is a delightful production for children about the curiosity and joys of growing up, risk taking and discovering who you are.
