We are running a CPD session for teachers and educational professionals exploring ADHD and how it can impact on children’s learning on Friday 6th May 2016, 1.00pm – 4.30pm at HEART in Headingley
This CPD session includes:
- A performance of WiLd! Written by award winning writer Evan Placey, for children aged 8+. Funded by the Wellcome Trust this remarkable new play is informed by intensive research into the condition of ADHD in children. WiLd! tells the story of a wayward, fragile and misunderstood boy who lives on his wits and untamed imagination.
- Q&A session hosted by leading educational theatre practitioner Anthony Haddon and Artistic Director of tutti frutti, Wendy Harris.
- Presentation and Q&A by Professor David Daley. This presentation will help teachers and education professionals to understand the potential impact that ADHD can have on children’s learning, and will offer some very practical and easy to implement strategies that all teachers can try out and experiment with to help children with ADHD in their classrooms.
David Daley is Professor of Psychological Intervention and Behaviour Change, Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences from the Centre for ADHD and Neurodevelopmental Disorders Across the Lifespan (CANDAL) at Nottingham University.
Cost: There will be a charge of £100 per delegate for this course.
Please note that this course is not included in the ArtForms Arts SLA.
Performances of WiLd! are available to schools from May – July 2016. For schools who attend this training there will be a discount of £50 on performance bookings.
